Our Manchester United vs Tottenham prediction is a home win, and we don’t think Spurs will score. The two meet at Old Trafford on Saturday 10 October (17:30 BST), and the league table makes this look closer than it is. United are 12th on five points. Spurs are bottom on two, with no win and two goals in five games under Roberto De Zerbi.
Where Are Spurs’ Goals Supposed to Come From?
This is the whole bet. Spurs have scored twice in five Premier League games, and both came in one match, the 3-2 home defeat to Aston Villa on 19 September. In the other four they drew a blank: 0-3 at Brentford, 0-2 at home to Newcastle, 0-0 at Nottingham Forest and 0-0 at home to Everton.
Away from home it is even worse. Two trips, no goals. Now they go to Old Trafford, where United have won 25 of 34 league meetings since 1993 and lost just five.
It may not get better on Saturday. Pedro Porro, Spurs’ attacking right-back, picked up a setback against Villa and pulled out of the Spain squad. If he misses out, De Zerbi loses one of his main sources of crosses and chances.
Why 1.76 on United Is Too Big
A price of 1.76 says United win this about 57% of the time. We have them closer to 65%.
The market is pricing in United’s poor start, and that start is real: one win in five. But look at who they have played. Away at Hull, Everton and Fulham, and Manchester City at home. The other home game, against Ipswich, ended 5-2 with Bruno Fernandes scoring a hat-trick.

Spurs are a different level of opponent from City. United have scored in three of their five games, Spurs in one of five. One στόχος will probably be enough on Saturday, and United are far more likely to find it.
Fernandes is expected back from the knock he picked up with Portugal. That matters. He is the player who turns United’s possession into chances.
BTTS No at 2.48 Is the Best Value on the Card
This is the price we like most. At 2.48, the football bookmaker is giving BTTS No about a 40% chance. Spurs’ own games say otherwise. Four of their five league matches ended with at least one side failing to score, because Spurs keep failing to score.
The case against is United’s defence. They have conceded in every league game this season. But that record came against teams that could actually shoot. Hull, Ipswich, Everton, City and Fulham all scored at least once against United. Spurs have managed that once all season.

We’d rather take 2.48 on Spurs blanking than 1.50 on Over 2.5 goals. The Over needs both sides to play well. BTTS No only needs Spurs to keep doing what they have done for most of the season.
The Price for Getting Both Right
If you agree with our first two picks, this is where they meet, and it pays twice what the home win does. United won the last meeting at Old Trafford 2-0 on 7 February. That is exactly the result we expect again.
It gets a lower stake because United have not kept a clean sheet yet. But we see this finishing 1-0 or 2-0, and at 3.50 that read is worth backing.
Saturday Evening at Old Trafford
To sum up our Μάντσεστερ Γιουνάιτεντ vs Tottenham prediction: United to win at 1.76 is our main bet and gets the biggest stake. BTTS No at 2.48 is the value pick, against a side with two goals in five games. For the bigger price, United to win to nil at 3.50 brings the two together. We expect a home win, and we don’t expect Spurs to score.
