FIFA World Cup 2026 Prediction: Norway – England (2026-07-12)

Norway have been one of the most entertaining teams at this FIFA World Cup. 

They advanced from the Round of 32 with a 2-1 victory over Ivory Coast before eliminating Brazil 2-1 in the Round of 16. 

Earlier in the tournament, they also defeated Senegal 3-2 and Iraq 4-1, while their only defeat came against France 4-1.

Erling Haaland has been central to that run. 

He leads the tournament scoring charts with seven goals and scored twice in the win over Brazil. 

Norway have looked dangerous whenever they have moved forward, but their defensive record also keeps this BTTS bet alive. 

They have conceded in every match at this FIFA World Cup, including twice against Senegal and four times against France.

England reached the quarter-finals after beating Mexico 3-2 in the Round of 16. 

Jude Bellingham scored twice in that match, while Harry Kane added another goal from the penalty spot to take his tournament tally to six.

Thomas Tuchel’s side also beat DR Congo 2-1 in the Round of 32, defeated Panama 2-0 in the group stage and opened the tournament with a 4-2 win over Croatia. 

The only match where England failed to score was the 0-0 draw against Ghana.

England will also be without Jarell Quansah after his red card against Mexico, which removes one defensive option before facing a Norway side built around Haaland’s finishing.

Both sides have consistently looked dangerous going forward. 

Norway have scored in every match at the tournament, while England have scored at least twice in four of their five games.

The concern for Norway is at the other end. 

Their attack has carried them deep into the tournament, but they have yet to keep a clean sheet. 

Against an England side with Kane and Bellingham both in scoring form, that is difficult to ignore.

With Norway’s attack led by Haaland and England arriving with plenty of scoring options, both teams to score at 1.80 looks like a strong option for this FIFA World Cup quarter-final.
