The NFC East has a history of having a different winner each year, but the Philadelphia Eagles changed that last season going back-to-back in 2024 and 2025.

This season could see another change though as the Eagles are not as strong as they were. They have traded away star wide receiver AJ Brown and Saquon Barkley is now 30 years old. The defence should still be strong though and they will go close.

The Eagles biggest competitors are the Dallas Cowboys. Everyone thought the Cowboys were making a huge mistake last season when they traded away Micah Parsons. However, they have made a lot of changes to the defence which should make them better and the offence is still good. They will be tough to beat this year.

The New York Giants have been in the doldrums for a few years now, but they look solid this year. New head coach John Harbaugh brings a ton of experience and the defence looks great. They won’t win the division, but they will win plenty of games this season.

Finally, the NFC East has the Washington Commanders. They struggled last season when they lost starting quarterback Jayden Daniels. Most of their success is reliant on him and they must keep him healthy. They already have injuries to the offensive line and it’s hard to see them beating out the other teams in this division.

The NFC North is easily the most competitive division in the league this season with all four teams having the potential to win it.

Last year’s winners were the Chicago Bears who had a solid playoff run. This offseason has seen some important players leave but they still have a good roster. They should do well again, but their defence will let them down.

Their biggest rivals, the Green Bay Packers are hoping to have another good year. They have reached the playoffs for the last three seasons in a row and could make it four. They are without star edge rusher Micah Parsons for the first few weeks of the season, but they are still a solid team without him.

The Minnesota Vikings struggled last season and although the team is good, they are lacking a star quarterback. They have signed Kyler Murray to take on the job, but it still feels like they are a bit short compared to the other teams in this division.

Finally, there is the Detroit Lions who had a down year last season due to injuries. This year should be easier for them though as they have the third easiest schedule in the league and they are fully fit going into the season.

This highly competitive division has last year’s Superbowl champions and the favourites for this year’s title in it.

The Seattle Seahawks won it all last season but it’s unlikely that they do it again this year. They have a tough schedule, lost their offensive coordinator and Superbowl MVP Ken Walker has moved on. They will still be tough to beat but a return to the Superbowl will be tough.

Their biggest rivals for the division will be the LA Rams who look great on both offence and defence. They traded for arguably the best edge rusher in the league in Myles Garrett and one of the best corners in Trent McDuffie. It’s hard to see them losing many games.

The San Francisco 49ers have been around the Superbowl over the last five years, but it feels like they are falling away now. They are heavily reliant on running back Christian McCaffery and the whole team is getting older. They always seem to get a lot of injuries and that is likely to happen again this year.

Finally, there is the Arizona Cardinals. They have the hardest schedule in the league this year and are nowhere near to competing. This season is all about getting a high draft pick for next year and drafting a new franchise quarterback. The offence will be solid, but the defence doesn’t look great.

Last year saw the Carolina Panthers win this division but none of the teams finished with a winning record and it feels like the same could happen again.

The Atlanta Falcons have made a lot of changes, but it feels like very little has changed. They still don’t have a good option at quarterback, and they will be heavily reliant on Bijan Robinson and Drake London to score points. Wins will be tough to come by.

Another team with a lot of questions are the New Orleans Saints. They have second year quarterback Tyler Shough to rely on, and rookie wide receiver Jordan Tyson has already picked up a hamstring injury. The defence has lost some experience but should still be solid.

The Carolina Panthers will be hoping to go back-to-back after last year’s divisional win. They have built a solid roster overall and should get a decent amount of wins this season. If Bryce Young can keep progressing, then they have the potential to have another decent season.

Finally, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be hoping to get back to winning ways after a rough end to last season. They have the best quarterback in the division with Baker Mayfield and plenty of attacking options. The defence is still good despite losing some experience and if they can keep fit, they should do well.
