Pelicans had very bad matchups vs Memphis and GSW, now they have to take this game. Lakers are not as desperate now, they won against Suns and Lonzo hype can keep on living. But Pelicans are not Suns. Lakers is still one of the worst teams in the West and they just can't do anything against some defense. They have a decent young core, but at the same time they are not ready to challenge mid-tier teams and any game where opponent seriously needs a win will be difficult for them.

Handicap -4 is just as good.
