Chelsea Under-21 have really embraced the Checkatrade Trophy since they entered it for the first time last season and are fancied to reach the quarter-finals again by beating Peterborough.
This season, Chelsea won two of their three group matches emphatically away to Swindon and Plymouth and although they lost at Newport, they still finished top of the table.
Peterborough, meanwhile, are unbeaten so far thanks to wins against Luton and Exeter but they lost two penalty shootouts against Brighton Under-21 and MK Dons in the group phase.
With some of the brightest young talent in England, as exemplified by Hudson-Odoi’s rapid rise to fame, Chelsea are expected to get past a club who will be hoping to feature in the League One play-offs at the end of the season.
