Estrela da Amadora - Braga

Estrela da Amadora have been one of the more entertaining watches in Portugal so far this season. Pepa has them unbeaten in the league, which sounds impressive until you look at how they got there: three of their four matches have finished 2-2. That is a side scoring and conceding in roughly equal measure every week. Last time out they could not handle Georgios Koutsias, who scored twice as Famalicao took a point at Jose Gomes. Braga arrive in good order. They have taken seven points from nine, they came from behind to beat Alverca 2-1 with Pau Victor scoring twice inside seven minutes, and they are now more than ten games unbeaten across all competitions. That is a front line with enough quality to punish a home defence which keeps shipping two a game. The head to head is the reason to leave the result alone. Estrela have failed to beat Braga in seven attempts, but three of the last six meetings ended level, so backing either side straight up means fighting a very draw heavy record. The goals market is the cleaner way in. Nothing about these two suggests a quiet midweek night, and the hosts have shown no sign of tightening up at the back.
