An all Italian meeting in Winston Salem and the market has it close to a coin flip, which feels a touch generous on the Bellucci side. Darderi has done most of his damage on clay, and while he did reach the quarterfinals in Toronto earlier this summer, he followed it with early exits in Los Cabos and Cincinnati. Bellucci has looked the sharper of the two on hard courts through this American swing, pushing Jakub Mensik all the way in Cincinnati, and his lefty serve buys him plenty of cheap points on a quick surface like this one. Darderi holds the edge in their earlier meetings, but current form and the conditions both lean toward the lefty. Bellucci at this price is the play.
