The Manchester derby at Old Trafford, and the goals market is where the value sits rather than the result. United have been chaotic so far. They lost 2-0 at home to Hull on the opening day, went behind to Ipswich before eventually winning 5-2, and then drew 2-2 with Everton after conceding a stoppage time screamer from Ainsley Maitland-Niles. That is two, seven and four goals across three league games. Whatever this team is doing, it is not producing quiet afternoons. City arrive in far better order. Maresca has won all three, they top the table with nine points and a plus five goal difference, and Erling Haaland already has three goals from his opening three games. Bruno Fernandes has three and an assist at the other end, so there is someone in form on both sides of this. The United team news helps the case as well. Baleba is out with an ankle problem, Amad Diallo is not expected back in time, and de Ligt, Heaton and Ugarte are all sidelined, which thins out a defence that has already been leaking badly. Doku remains out for City. Four or more goals is the call. Nothing about United this season suggests they are about to start keeping clean sheets, and City are not the opponent you want to practise on.
