Knicks vs Spurs Prediction: NBA Finals Game 3 Best Bet – May 09

The New York Knicks arrive at Madison Square Garden with a 2-0 series lead and 13 consecutive playoff wins behind them. They won Game 1 by 105-95 and edged Game 2 in dramatic fashion by 105-104, with Jalen Brunson delivering late and Karl-Anthony Towns finishing with 21 points and 13 rebounds.

The Spurs now face the biggest challenge in franchise history, needing to win four of the next five games to claim the title. No team has ever come back from 0-2 down at home in the NBA Finals and gone on to win the championship. San Antonio will need to produce the greatest comeback in Finals history just to lift the trophy, and Game 3 at MSG is the place where that run either starts or ends.

🏀 New York Knicks vs San Antonio Spurs Prediction: Spurs to win @2.1

San Antonio Spurs: Backs Against the Wall but Not Done Yet

San Antonio is a young team but they are not a naive one. They beat the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals, winning on the road in Game 1 to set the tone for the whole series.

That kind of mentality does not disappear overnight, and the Spurs know better than most that one bad series of games does not define a playoff run.

Victor Wembanyama’s late turnover in Game 2 hurt, but this young team has shown all postseason that it can bounce back. Dylan Harper has been in outstanding form and many expect him to earn a starting spot in Game 3. De’Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle both picked up minor injuries in Game 2 but are expected to play, giving San Antonio their full lineup.

Best Bet Arguments for Spurs vs Knicks Game 3

The Knicks have been nearly perfect, but 13 straight playoff wins cannot last forever and a rested, desperate Spurs team at full strength is the right opponent to end that run.

San Antonio lost the rebounding battle in Game 2 for only the second time this entire postseason, so a physical correction is coming in Game 3.

The Spurs are playing for their season and 2.1 on them stealing one game at MSG is strong value given how competitive both games have been so far.
