Stephon Castle also had his best showing of the series with 23 points, five rebounds, five assists, a steal, and a block. If those two come out firing again in Game 4, San Antonio has every reason to believe it can level this series at 2-2.

The Knicks have real problems to fix before tipoff. Mikal Bridges scored just two points in Game 3 and has yet to make a serious dent in this series. Karl-Anthony Towns attempted only 10 shots and failed to score a single point in the fourth quarter.

Jalen Brunson still delivered 32 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter, but shot just 37 percent from the field and committed as many turnovers as he had assists. OG Anunoby was brilliant with 28 points on 9-of-13 shooting, but a team cannot rely on a secondary option to carry the offense in the NBA Finals every night.

The broader picture favors San Antonio here. No team in NBA history has dropped the first two games at home and gone on to win the championship, yet the Spurs did exactly that. They also came back from 3-2 down in the Western Conference Finals to eliminate Oklahoma City, so handling pressure is nothing new to this group.

The case for backing the Spurs comes down to three clear points. Towns has not scored a fourth-quarter point in this entire series. Wembanyama and Castle are both trending up at exactly the right moment.

New York is also responding to its first loss since April 23rd, which is completely new territory for this group. The Spurs played their most complete game of the Finals on the road in Game 3, and at 2.0 they offer real value against a Knicks team that is clearly not clicking on all cylinders right now.
