Premier League Prediction: Newcastle – Liverpool (2026-08-23)

Newcastle’s pre-season has been an absolute goal-fest. 

Their most recent friendly ended in a 3-1 defeat to Everton, while the previous matches included a 2-1 win over Valencia and a 4-1 loss to Bristol City.

Across their last five friendlies, Newcastle have conceded nine goals. 

They have still found the net in four of those games, including three goals against Darlington, which leaves a clear pattern of chances appearing at both ends.

Liverpool won 3-2 at St. James’ Park in August before beating Newcastle 4-1 at Anfield in January.
