The 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix closes out Formula 1’s European run this Sunday, and the Hungaroring could not arrive at a better time for Ferrari. Kimi Antonelli heads to Budapest as championship leader and the man to beat after winning at Spa, but Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton have turned red hot, and this tight, twisty circuit is exactly where they can hurt Mercedes. Here are our best bets for the 26th of July final race before the summer break.

Antonelli has been the class of the field in 2026. Six wins, eight podiums and a 45-point cushion over Hamilton tell the story of a driver in full control. He got back to winning ways at Spa last weekend and carries that momentum into a track where Saturday pace matters more than almost anywhere else. Overtaking at the Hungaroring is brutal, with the vast majority of passes happening into Turn 1 or Turn 2, so starting near the front usually decides the race. Antonelli has the speed to qualify up front and the racecraft to manage things from there. At 2.50 for a driver this dominant, the favourite makes plenty of sense.

This is the pick we like most. Leclerc is flying. He won the British Grand Prix and then pushed Antonelli all the way at Spa, finishing second by under two seconds. The Hungaroring is one of the slowest, most technical layouts on the calendar, and Ferrari’s SF-26 has looked sharp in exactly these conditions. A podium at 1.53 for a driver who has not finished off the top four in his last two starts is a strong, low-risk play, and the sort of banker you build a Sunday slip around.

Do not sleep on McLaren here. The team has won the last two Hungarian Grands Prix, Piastri in 2024 and Norris in 2025, and the car has always suited this circuit’s rhythm. Norris has shown improved pace as McLaren claw back form, and at 3.50 for a podium he offers real value against shorter-priced names. Get him into the top 10 in qualifying and he becomes a live threat for the rostrum on a track where track position is everything.

Expect Antonelli to stay the man to beat, but the Hungaroring hands Ferrari a genuine opening. We are backing Antonelli to win at 2.50, Leclerc for a podium at 1.53 as our strongest call, and Norris for a podium at 3.50 as the value shout. If you only want one bet from Budapest, make it Leclerc on the podium.
