In the game against Arsenal the formation with three players at the back didn't work, so he had to switch it at the half time. There is no reason to expect the same mistake again. Chelsea surely lack consistency, but they have been quite reliable in away games so far, so there are enough reasons to believe they can beat Brighton too.
