This has the potential for an upset and may well rest on the young American being able to handle the occasion in her home major, but she has already reached the fourth round in the Australian Open this year. Pliskova saved a match point in the last round against Zhang and has needed a deciding set to progress in the last two rounds, beating both players by a margin of one game and the first of those was against another American Nicole Gibbs who is ranked 127 (Brady is 91) in the world. Brady has had the tougher draw here having to beat Strycova ranked 25 (dropped just 2 games), Petkovic and Niculescu and as long as she doesn't freeze in the spotlight I think she can keep this at least close and possibly win.
