Rebecca Peterson plays very impressive this year on hard surface. Three weeks ago she played in semi finals in Acapulco tournament, won against favourites Cortnet, Puig, Zhang; all wins in two straight sets. About Natalia I writed in previous pick, I think she has no chances here to win. Medium stakes. 

Gibbs won against Natalia less than month ago in two straight sets on hard surface 7-5 6-2. After this  Natalia played 3 matches, last one in this Miami tournament against Arango Emiliana (517 rating), won 6-3 6-2. Poor match I must say. While Gibbs played perfect in first Miami match, won in two sets easily 6-2 6-0 against Zhuk Sofya (123 rating, in this match Zhuk was favourite). Gibbs knows how to play against Natalia and will use it again, plus she has home advantage, fans, etc.

Matthew Barton is a joke. This guy (rating 573) six days ago lost his match in Playford challenger against Sebastian Korda (rating 848, all his "expierence"on hard is just 11 matches and he's 17 years old). First set Barton lost 6-1. Berankis past year had worst year in his career, but still he can beat this joke guy in two sets. Good luck.

Kato had trouble in the first round against Irmanishi (rating 202). She lost second set 6-7. Soler Espinosa has more expierence on hard surface. In the first round she won against Hozumi (rating 169) in two easy sets 6-2 6-3. She's in better form now and can win here. Small stakes. Good luck.

Last year Naomi Broady lost many times against players from top 200-300. She's no more than average player on hard surface. Viktoria Kuzmova last year played in three tournaments finals and three tournaments semi finals. One tournament won. She's average on hard surface, but still looks way better than Naomi Broady.
