The game between the best teams in the Netherlands. Both are at the top of the table, so it will be a game that a lot of fans of football will be looking forward to. 

Predicting a winner here is a bit difficult. However, since PSV are playing at home and have been doing better in the last couple of years, I'd have to lean towards them. The game will be tough, but the home team should be at the top after the final whistle. 

This London derby might be a lot more interesting than most people believe. Both teams have shown prowess when it comes to attacking football. It would be a relatively safe bet to go for at least 3 goals this game.

Picking the winner between these two right now is rather difficult. Watford looks to be a better side overall but playing away is always a disadvantage. Finally, you have a newly promoted team which looks to establish their position and not deal with relegation.

Attacking football is what I expect from this game.

Liverpool looks like one of the favorites to win the league this year. So far, they have not lost a game and continue to make immense progress under Klopp. While it might be a matter of time before they drop points, this game against Southampton will not be that.

So far, Liverpool has the best defensive record in the league with most of their games being clean sheets. However, I believe that this time Southampton will find a chance to score at least once.

Cardiff looks like one of the teams which will be fighting for relegation. Meanwhile, City will be fighting for the title again. Even though they are playing away, it should not be too much of a problem for them to go all out and score goals. Victory is imminent for the away side, and they will look to get plenty of goals. Meanwhile, Cardiff also has a big chance to score at least once, further improving the chance of at least 4 goals for this game. 

Tottenham have been rather unlucky in their last run of games. Three consecutive losses with the same result - 2:1. We would have to go back quite a lot to find the time where they were lost four games in a row. The team will look to rehabilitate themselves.

Brighton has managed to beat Man Utd at home a few weeks ago but did not look that convincing throughout the season.

Since Tottenham are looking to get in the winning ways, I am betting that they will win this game. Not to mention the quality that they have over Brighton. 

From what I have seen this season, both these teams have what it takes to fight for the spot at the top half of the table. For this match, one would have to give the advantage to Crystal Palace. They looked better among the two and are at home.

However, Newcastle has also been on a decent form recently, despite the results. They had to deal with tough opponents but this game will be a good chance to get something. 

Manchester United are looking to take advantage of their momentum this game and will try to win against Wolverhampton. 2:0 is a very possible result, and seeing as they are playing at home against a newly promoted team, it should not be that much of a problem for Jose Mourinho's side.

 

This will be one of the more interesting games of the group. Especially since Juventus are playing away.

The Italian side will look for Cristiano Ronaldo to make an impact since he has scored two goals in the last game. Ronaldo is a big game player and tends to be the best player in the competition. Therefore, it is possible that there will be a goal or two from him this game.

Valencia is not an easy place to play. Nevertheless, Juventus has much more experience in the Champions League and will look to start the group phase with three points. 

Nothing too special here. We have two teams that cannot be considered powerhouses in Europe, though the home side has a lot more experience playing in this competition. Also, it is no surprise to see Shakhtar reaching the knockout stage

As for Hoffenheim, well, it will be interesting to see how much this club can accomplish duking it out with the best clubs on the continent.

Given that Donetsk is at home and has more experience, I have to go with them for this game. 

So far so good for Dortmund on the local league. They will try to challenge for the title this year, though taking it from Bayern is a tough challenge. 

Club Brugge tends to miss out on the Champions League quite a lot, so this will be a good chance for them to experience those great nights again. However, Dortmund is coming to Belgium for a win and nothing else. They will look to cement their spot in the group as early as possible as one of the leaders. Advancing to the next stage is the goal here. 

Manchester United have won their last two games in the Premier League, both of them away. Moreover, Jose Mourinho has announced that Luke Shaw will feature in this game. He has been the best player on the pitch so far this season and will be a great boost for the team.

Young Boys will be in the Champions League for the first time in their history. The expectations are high. However, when you get an opponent like Manchester United, you cannot help but wonder how long you can keep up with them.

I predict a relatively comfortable win for the English side. 

Turkey is always a tough place to play for foreign teams. Moreover, Lokomotiv is not someone that you can really call a powerhouse of Europe. Sure, they might be doing OK in their home front in Russia, but these games are completely different than what they usually have to deal with.

I expect for a relatively easy victory for Galatasaray. They have decent chances to reach the knockout stage of the Champions League. 

No doubt the most interesting game of the first round. Both teams are leaders in their leagues, so it is only natural that fans over the world expect an intense game.

There are a couple of reasons why I chose PSG for this game. First of all, they will have their leaders Neymar and Mbappe rested. Also, this team has a lot more experience in the Champions League. Their attacking front is one of the best in the world, and will look to get a win in the group against their strongest competition. 

While Van Dijk has been solid ever since his move from Southampton, it will be an entirely different test to Liverpool's defense this game. 

A very interesting game. Inter has made plenty of great signings this season, but the team is still lacking cohesion and continues to struggle in the Serie A. On the other hand, the same applies to Tottenham, at least looking at their last two games.

Overall, though, if you compare the two teams together, one would lean towards Tottenham win here. They had a great start to the season, have Son back, and Harry Kane has not scored in a few games. This might be a good day to finally get some.

 

Both teams have been struggling in the league so far. Therefore, it is only natural that the bookies are giving the advantage to the team which is playing at home.


Southampton has been in the Premier League for quite a few years now and will look to maintain this tradition. Brighton has managed to beat Man Utd at home but did not get any real results besides that game.

My bet is for Southampton. The team has more experience, and they are playing at home.

A lot of people expect Wolverhampton to be at the top half of the table by the end of the season. Their players have the quality, but the team still lacks cohesion. Quite a few fans would say that they have underperformed so far. Therefore, this game against Burnley will be a good opportunity to get some momentum.

Meanwhile, Burnley have been struggling quite a bit. If they continue at this pace, it is possible that they will end up in a relegation battle.

West Ham has been in a slump recently and they will look to improve their situation in the league. However, going up against Everton away is always a big challenge.

So far, the Liverpool club has shown that they have what it takes to fight against the toughest opposition. Sure, they are not at the top of the table, but they still have plenty of potential. And let us not forget their record at home against the likes of West Ham.

Both teams have shown that they have plenty of threat on the attacking front. Lukaku has been in form recently, for both the club and country. Meanwhile, Watford are playing at home and will look to continue their unbeaten run. 

Judging by the previous results, it would be safe to assume that both teams have what it takes to score at least once this game.

Manchester United has started the season with mixed emotion from the fans. They have been underperforming quite a bit, and are still looking to get into their rhythm. Nevertheless, their recent win at Burnley should give some confidence to put up a fight against Watford.

Even though the odds are in favor of the away side, Watford will look to continue with their perfect run. Beating Tottenham was quite an achievement, and the team will not want to stop there. 

I am going with Watford for this game.

Manchester City is the favorite for this game, no doubt about it. Fulham has been promoted and this is their first season in the Premier League in quite a few years.

Home team scoring is a given, but it would not be a stretch to expect the same from the away side. So far, they have shown that they have enough threat in the final third, and the team will continue to progress. Not to mention the fact that the City has shown some weakness in the defense.

Paris Saint Germain will likely continue to dominate the competition and look to further improve their position on the table. Saint-Etienne is not that tough of an opponent for the league leaders, so they should not have too many problems with them. 

It is also worth pointing out that whenever Paris SG play, a lot of goals are involved. Mbappe has been on a roll lately, and whenever they are playing at home, the team tends to perform even better. 

Looking at the history of the teams in the league so far, both have shown that they tend to score quite a few goals, especially Liverpool.

We can expect to see at least a few goals this game as well. The likely result will be 1:2 or something along the lines in favor of the away side.

The odds would suggest that the bookies also believe the same. 

It was recently announced that Dele Ali and Hugo Lorris will not be playing this game. Even though Tottenham are the home team, they have still yet to play in their new stadium.

Meanwhile, Liverpool continues to show dominance in the league and they will look to improve with each game. This will be their toughest game yet, but they have a rather good record against Tottenham.

Overall, this will be an interesting game, but Liverpool should come out on top.

Looking at the previous games, one would have to give the advantage to Switzerland, right? They beat Iceland 6:0. Meanwhile, England lost to Spain at home.

Nevertheless, this is a new game and the English will look to redeem themselves in front of the home crowd.

It is more than likely that Switzerland got the result against Iceland because their opposition was not that great, instead of the Swiss being a great team.

For this game, I expect England victory.

Spain has managed to beat England away, so we can expect them to go on a roll and look to build more confidence after a fiasco at the World Cup.

Meanwhile, Croatia has lost Subasic and Mandzukic who have retired from the national team. This does not mean that they will no longer be a powerhouse of European football, but the team will have to adjust.

Since Spain are the home team, we can expect them to win this one. 
 

Portugal are without Cristiano Ronaldo, which is always a big downside to their team. One of the advantages that they have is playing at home. 

Meanwhile, Italy has been looking to be among the elite teams of Europe. This will be a good test to see how far they have to go until they get back where they once were.

If the game took place in Italy, then I would probably avoid this bet. However, since it is in Portugal, we can probably expect to see more goals. 

Lithuania has been in a downfall for quite a lot of time, though they did manage to show some glimpses against Serbia a couple of days ago.

This time around, they will be playing against Montenegro away, which will be a tough match. I predict that the home side will get a lead in the first half and should be able to deal with the rest of the game without too many problems. 

After their performance at the World Cup, a lot of people expect Russian football to continue moving in the right direction. The nation is big and can certainly produce a lot of talent.

The Czech Republic has been in decline for quite some time now.

Comparing these two teams, well, it would be safe to assume that the majority would lean towards Russia victory. Not to mention the fact that they are playing at home. 

Lithuania will be missing Spalvis, who is one of their best players. Meanwhile, Serbia will come with full force and look to get things done against one of the weakest teams in the tournament.

Lithuania has not been doing that great in football front for many years now. Even though they are playing at home, the quality difference between these two teams is just too big. It should be a comfortable victory for Serbia.
