All Slovenia's games including the friendlies and the tournament have been high scoring ones. Doncic and Dragic try to push the tempo and this is when they are at their best. Greece on the other hand has all kinds of trouble defensively. Bourousis is a huge liability and although Greece played much better without him against France I don't think coach Missas has the gats to keep him on the bench. Dragic will probably pick and roll us to "death" and there isn't anyone that can stop him. Bourousis slow feet will again be a liability. I think the line is too low here for Slovenia.

I bet on two teams being in the same group which makes it easier and you don't have to count on good or bad matchup in the round of 16. Latvia looks really solid. They have some high level NBA talent in Porzingis and solid players like Timma, Strelnieks, Smits and the Bertans. Latvian basketball is really on the rise with young talented guys in this roster and some more coming in the future. They performed really well in the friendlies and showed they are no longer a punching bag or whatever. They ll give everyone a hard time and if they have some luck I can see them finishing even higher than the 8th place they got in last Eurobasket. On the other hand Russia has been constantly declining the last few seasons and the team that was giving everyone a hard time between 2007-12 seems like a distant memory. I think they ll probably not even qualify from the group stage.
