If there is one thing that we can tell about both of these teams, it would have to be the fact that they are underperforming quite a bit compared to a previous season. Despite having Champions League football this year, results in the domestic league are quite disappointing. This is especially the case for Schalke. And for this game, they are away, against one of the tougher opponents out there. Hoffenheim is by no means a powerhouse, but they have a stable lineup and will be playing at home.
