BYU - UAB American football prediction

I think thats a great Pick in this Bowl Game. Many analysts favor UAB in this Matchup with an 6,5 Point Spread, and thats ok if you just look at the statistics, but I give more power here like always in Non Conference Bowl Games to the Strength of Schedule. BYU played 3 Conference Champions this Season, no other Team played more. They won against Utah State, the Mountain West Champion, they won against Utah, the Pac-12 Champions and their only loss came against Baylor, the Big 12 Champion. It was one of just 2 loses overall this season, BYU has gone 10-2 and finished as the 2nd best Team in the Independent Conference behind Notre Dame (11-1). 

UAB had one meeting with an independent Team, the Liberty Flames, and they lost 12:36. The Flames finished with just 7 Wins and 5 Losses. UAB had more Matchups against Teams at .500 or lower, in an overall weak Conference. UAB also had one of the worst loses on the season when it comes to odds, they lost against Rice (Rice had a 12 odd in this Game). So  when it comes to the overall Statistics for the Season, you have to give BYU more credit. They destroyed the Pac 12 this season, they won against the Champion Utah, they won against Washington State, USC, Arizona State and Arizona. Against Utah and Arizona State, they were set as Underdog and still won big by more than 1 Possession. 

BYU had just one Game on the Season they shouldn’t have lost, that was against Boise State. The other one against Baylor was okay, as Baylor is the ranked 6th overall Team in the Nation. BYU is ranked 12th while UAB is unranked. 2 of the Top Prospects for BYU are ready to suit up for this and maybe declare for the NFL Draft after, Number 1 Running Back Tyler Allgeier and Top Receiver Romney. “Right now, I am not really focused on that,” Romney said. “All the focus has been on preparing for this bowl game. And I think what me and Tyler have both been talking about a lot has really just been to put all of our effort into this game and then we can decide afterwards. We have time to do that afterwards.” Expect a Show from these 2. Allgeier has 5,7 Rushing Yards per Carry and is 8th in the NAtion in Ruhsing Yards overall with 1,414 Yards. Gunner Romney is the 2nd best Receiver for BYU, he has 31 Receptions and is averaging 17 Yards per Catch. 

UAB has one of the best Rushing Defenses in the Nation, but also not the toughest Schedule when it comes to Star Running Backs and competitive O Lines. Tyler Allgeier can also be used in the Passing Game, if he cant get his Running Game going. He had 5 Catches recently against USC for 35 Yards, next to 111 Yards over the Ground. UAB is just average against the Pass. The Baylor Defense is also super solid against the Run, allowing just 3,5 Yards per Carry. I like the Passing Game of BYU much more in comparison to UAB. I think Hall can Carry if needed with his Top Receivers while UAB Junior QB Dylan Hopkins should struggle.
