SC Freiburg come into this match in 7th place, sitting tied with Schalke 04 on 37 points with 10 wins, 7 draws and 9 losses after a hard-fought 1-1 draw with RB Leipzig last time out. 
Werder Bremen enter the match in desperation mode, sitting in the relegation zone on 18 points in 17th position with 4 wins, 6 draws and 15 losses following a 4-1 loss to Bayer Leverkusen in their last match.
Freiburg sitting just two points back of Wolfsburg for 6th place and the Europa League play-off spot. I think that will give Freiburg a bit of extra drive and Werder Bremen just looks like a lost cause. I’ll side with Freiburg at home for the win here. 

I considered Bremen at home considering they need these points as bad as anyone in the Bundesliga, and catching Bayer after a two-month layoff could be a possibility. However, Leverkusen was rolling prior to the break and while common logic could suggest that the break would kill that momentum, I think the opposite. I think Bayer sees how close they are to the top 4 and potential Champions League play next year, and extremely winnable games like these don’t come around all too often. It may also be a good tune-up for Leverkusen down the stretch with Werder Bremen losing the home advantage with no fans in the stands. Give me Leverkusen here

Game will be played in Gomel, where Sputnik plays all home matches so far cause of reconstruction of their own stadium. So no home pitch advantage here, even FC Gomel might have bigger one if fans will come, but anyways there'll be restrictions, only 400 people should be allowed to watch the game, so no big support for anyone. Besides that Gomel is simply better team between the two. Of course current standings show it vice versa, but starting schedule of the teams was very different. Sputnik faced easier opposition, some relegation candidates and were favorites in all of the matches, no wonder they took advantage of it and are among the leaders now. Then Gomel had very tough schedule to start the season: other two top teams in Loko and Krumkachy, then hard nut to crack Naftan. No wins, just two draws, but this time there's no excuse to drop the points, time is up to climb in standing ladder. No matter poor start, 5pts deduction, Gomel are having arguably the best roster in the league, they has goals to promote back to top division and they must win games like this. They skipped previous round due to postponed game, but were doing really good in latest one against Krumkachy, when only red card and rivals late goal didn't let them to win. But overall game is improving, they were controlling the match till sent-off, and were looking more and more like a team which has chances to live up to expectations.
