German champions Bayern Munich kick-off the defence of their Bundesliga title on Friday night, as the Bavarians face a potentially tough clash with Hoffenheim at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern finished last season in good form winning six of their last seven games in the Bundesliga. The only blip was a shock 4-1 home loss to Stuttgart on the final day of the league season.

A key factor in those recent wins has been the home sides attacking firepower, as they have scored at least three goals in six of their last seven outings in the German top-flight.

The defeat against Stuttgart ended a four-game winning run at home in the Bundesliga for the reigning champions, in which Bayern had scored at least four goals in each win.

In fact, Nagelsmann won four of their final league games of last season, while scoring at least twice in all four victories. Hoffenheim did not have a great record on their travels towards the end of the campaign, winning just two of their final 12 away games.
