English Championship: Bristol City v Ipswich Preview and Prediction

Date/Time: Tuesday 12th March 2019 (Kick-off 8:45 PM CET).

This is a huge game for Lee Johnson and his Bristol City team as they look to bounce back from a disappointing 0-1 home defeat to Leeds United on Saturday.

It is the third loss in a row in the League and outside hopes of finishing in the automatic promotion places have been replaced by fears that Bristol City will miss the Play Offs.

Beating a struggling Ipswich Town team at home is very important, although the latter have to be respected as showing some resilience despite looking a dead cert to be relegated. They have managed to earn draws in 4 of their last 5 League games, but you would have to admit that Ipswich Town have ridden their luck at times in some of those games and will likely need some more here.

They don't have a very good record at Ashton Gate though and I think Bristol City can bounce back. It won't be easy, especially with goals being something of an issue for the home team of late, but I think there will be enough chances for Bristol City to do that. Backing them to win a game featuring two or more goals is the call as Ipswich Town have scored in 3 of their last 4 away games in the League and Bristol City are likely going to need at least two to secure the points.
