English Championship: Sheffield Wed v Reading Preview and Prediction

Sheffield Wednesday beat Reading 1-2 at the Majedski Stadium earlier this season.

Sheffield Wednesday have now won 4 of their last 6 at home against Reading including wins in the League and the FA Cup last season.

I am not expecting this Championship game to be one that people will be rushing out to watch the highlights of as both Sheffield Wednesday and Reading have been struggling for goals in recent games.

The edge has to be given to Sheffield Wednesday being at home because they have shown a little more strength defensively which should give them a chance to win the game even with a single goal scored.

In fact three of their last four games have ended with 1-0 wins for The Owls and Sheffield Wednesday do have a pretty strong recent record against Reading.

The visitors have been a little battle hardened in recent weeks which deserves some respect, but I think Sheffield Wednesday may edge them out and I will back them on the Asian Handicap to do so knowing half of the stake will be returned in the event of a draw.
