Huddersfield v Manchester City Preview and Prediction

On Sunday afternoon, rock-bottom Huddersfield Town host Manchester City at the John Smiths Stadium, in a potentially massive game in the Premier League title race for the visitors.

Huddersfield suffered the loss of boss David Wagner earlier this week, as the German decided to leave his role. With the Terriers bottom of the table and eight points away from safety Wagner’s decision made some sense, even if the fans wanted him to stay.

A run of nine Premier League games without a win has Town in their current predicament. At least they ended a run of eight straight league defeats last time out by picking up a point in a goalless draw against Cardiff last time out.

The Terriers have found home victories hard to come by in the Premier League, winning just once in 13 league games at the John Smiths. They have also lost their last four matches on home soil in the top-flight.

Manchester City look to be back in form having recorded five consecutive wins in all competitions. The Citizens are still four points behind league leaders Liverpool, who could extend their lead to seven points with a home win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
