On Wednesday night, Leicester host Arsenal at the King Power Stadium, as Leicester to get back winning ways before the end of the campaign.
Leicester City’s campaign has rather died a death in recent months. The Foxes are currently ninth-place in the table and the highest position they can now claim is eighth, but Claude Puel’s side currently trail eighth-place Everton with a game in-hand.
A run of four defeats in their last five league games put pay to a challenge for seventh spot and a Europa League spot. The Foxes have problems at both ends of the pitch of late. The side from the Midlands has conceded at least twice in four of their last five league matches. Puel’s team have also failed to score in their last three outings.
Arsenal will now finish sixth-place this season in the top-flight table after a 5-0 home win over Burnley last time out. This game is veteran Gunners boss Arsene Wenger’s penultimate in charge of the team.
One of the factors in Wenger’s exit has been the team’s position in the table, largely caused by a woeful away record in the top-flight. The side from north London has lost their last six away games in the top-flight while shipping at least two goals in five of those six losses.
