    Spread: San Antonio Spurs -3

    Total: +214.5

In a rematch of last season’s Western Conference Quarterfinals series, the defending champions Golden State Warriors, who have not been faring well without Stephen Curry, are visiting the San Antonio Spurs, with both teams having lost their last two and three games respectively and are looking to bounce back.

Warriors are 12-5 so far in the league and are sitting on top of the West. They are 1-3 in their last 4 games and in their latest matchup they got defeated by Dallas on the road, 109-112. Spurs are 7-7 so far in the league and are tied with Sacramento in the tenth place of the Western Conference. They are 1-5 in their last 6 games and in their latest matchup they got defeated by Los Angeles Clippers on the road, 111-116.

The Dubs are led in scoring by Stephen Curry with 29.5 ppg. He also adds 5 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game but he is injured and unavailable. Kevin Durant follows with 27.3 ppg, adding 6.1 assists and 7 rebounds per game. San Antonio are led in scoring by DeMar DeRozan with 25.6 ppg. He also adds 6.3 rebounds and leads the team in assists made with 6.3 per game, while LaMarcus Aldridge follows with 17.4 ppg and leads the team in rebounding with 11 per game.

Those two teams met 9 times last year and Golden State led San Antonio 8-1 wins and they eliminated them in the first round of the playoffs with 4-1 wins. San Antonio are 5-2 at home so far, while Golden State are 4-4 on the road. Golden State are better offensively, scoring a second-best of 118 ppg to San Antonio’s 107.9 ppg, while San Antonio have a better defense, allowing 108.8 ppg to Golden State’s 110.8. Golden State have better percentages both from the field, shooting with 50.1% to San Antonio’s 44.2% and from behind the arc, shooting with 40.2% to San Antonio’s 37.2%. Warriors also dish a league-best 28.9 assists per game to San Antonio’s 22.9 and they grab more rebounds (45.6 to 45.3), while San Antonio commit fewer turnovers per game (12.1 to 14.6). Golden State are having trouble without Curry and expect San Antonio to take advantage of that and win at home one way or another.

Golden State Warriors vs San Antonio Spurs Prediction: San Antonio Spurs -3 (-108)
