July 15th is the start of one more international basketball championship. This time it is U20 European Basketball Championship.
This one is known as the last step for young players to prove themselves and make a good foundation for their professional career.
Top 16 European nations will face off in A division in Crete (Greece). It will follow the under-20 competition opened one day before in Oradea as Romania are the hosts of B division.
You can be sure the championship is going to be as intriguing as it can get. Hosts Greece will want to win in front of the local crowd while teams like Spain, Lithuania, Serbia, Turkey and France will have their shot at gold as well.
We still do not know what odds will be presented on the starting days of the tournament, but we can be sure this championship as every youth competition is going to be full of action and interesting choices to make.
Last year we witnessed Spain beat Lithuania in the final, followed by the small final between Turkey and Germany.
Statistically the competition was led by Finnish talent and new Chicago Bull named Lauri Markkanen who averaged 24.9 points and 26.7 efficiency per game.
