On Sunday night, Spain host Switzerland at Estadio de la Ceramica, as both teams look to prepare for this summer’s World Cup.
Spain will head to Russia this summer as one of the favourites to lift the World Cup. Julen Lopetegui’s side is full of quality and looks to have a good balance between youth and experience.
La Roja are currently 18 games unbeaten, last time out hammering Argentina 6-1 in a friendly clash. However, prior to the victory over the Albiceleste, the hosts had drawn against Russia and Germany.
Switzerland have suffered just one defeat in their last 20 international outings. Vladimir Petkovic’s side have in fact won 13 of their last 15 games.
The visitor’s recent good results have been based on solid defensive displays, as they have kept clean sheets in ten of their last 12 international games. They will certainly not be an easy team for Spain to break down.
