On Sunday, Tottenham will be looking to seal a top-three finish in the Premier League as the north London welcome Leicester to Wembley.
The home side sealed a top-four spot with a nervy 1-0 home win against Newcastle last time out. Now Mauricio Pochettino’s side are looking for a victory that will confirm a top-three place and an automatic spot in the Champions League group stages next season.
One of Tottenham’s main strengths in recent seasons has been their home form. In fact, Spurs have suffered just two home defeats in their last 37 home games at White Hart Lane and Wembley. A key part of that good home record of late has been their defensive record, as Spurs have kept clean sheets in six of their last seven home league outings.
Leicester head into this game on the back of a 3-1 win over Spurs’ arch-rivals Arsenal on Wednesday night. The win ended a run of five games without a league win for the Foxes, which included four defeats and one draw.
Claude Puel’s side has struggled on their travels of late in the Premier League, suffering six defeats in their last nine games on their travels. They have also suffered consecutive away defeats in the league.
