Tottenham v Newcastle Preview and Prediction

On Wednesday night, Tottenham face what could be a crucial home game against Newcastle at Wembley in the Premier League.

A 1-0 defeat at West Brom last time out coupled with Chelsea’s recent win over Liverpool has suddenly put Tottenham’s top-four position in doubt.

The North London club are now just two points clear of fifth-place Chelsea, so cannot afford any slip-ups in this clash. However, Mauricio Pochettino’s side has been inconsistent of late in the top-flight, winning just one of their last four league games.

Newcastle have achieved their primary objective this season of survival. A three-game losing run looks set to matter very little to Rafa Benitez’s team, who are tenth-place in the table and looking forward to another campaign in the Premier League.
