Date/Time: Thursday 14th February 2019 (Kick-off 8 PM)
On Thursday night, Celtic and Valencia go head-to-head at Parkhead in the Europa League last 32. The first leg clash could be vital in seeing who progress to the last 16 of the competition.
Both teams have been in decent form of late, as Celtic have won their last seven games in all competitions while scoring 21 goals in the process. Valencia have been slightly less impressive, but are five-game unbeaten in all competitions, having drawn their last three matches.
Celtic have a mixed recent record in the Europa League, although they did win four of their six group games in a difficult group containing Salzburg, RB Leipzig and Rosenborg. The Hoops do have a strong record at Parkhead in the competition, as a 2-1 defeat against Salzburg ended a four-game winning run on home soil in Europe’s secondary competition.
Valencia started the season in the Champions League. However, Los Ches finished third in a group containing Italian giants Juventus and Premier League Manchester United. The visitor’s recent record in the Europa League is strong, as the Spanish side has won four of their last five outings in the competition while scoring at twice in all four victories.
