Following the biggest deficit game of any semifinal so far, we have the fourth game between the squad that held the best record in the WNBA this season, the Seattle Storm, who are still leading the series 2-1 but want to bounce back after a nasty 20-point loss in game 3 as they visit once again the 5th Phoenix Mercury.

The Storm had a 26-8 record (21-12-1 ATS) record in the regular season and finished on top of the West and the whole WNBA. In their latest matchup they saw a 5-game victory streak end with a road defeat in game three by the Mercury, 66-86. The Mercury had a 20-14 record (20-14 ATS) in the regular season and finished in the 5th place of the league. In their latest matchup they ended a 2-game losing skid with a home victory in game three against the Storm, 86-66 score.

Seattle are led in scoring by Breanna Stewart with 23.3 ppg. She also leads the team in rebounding with 7.3 per game, while Natasha Howard follows with 16.3 ppg and 6.7 rebounds per game. Jewell Loyd adds 12.7 ppg. Phoenix are led in scoring by DeWanna Bonner with 25.4 ppg. She also leads the team in rebounding with 12.4 per game, while Diana Taurasi follows with 22.8 ppg, adding a team-best 7 assists per game. Brittney Griner adds 20.2 ppg and 7 rebounds per game.

This will be the 7th meeting between those two teams this year with the Storm leading 4-2 wins and having won two of the three road matches. Mercury have a 11-8 home record so far, while Storm are 13-5 on the road. Mercury are better offensively, scoring a playoff-best of 91.4 ppg to Storm’s 82.7 and they also have a better defense, allowing 83.4 ppg to Storm’s 86.7. Mercury have a better accuracy both from the field, shooting with a league-best of 51.6% to Storm’s 41.5% and from behind the arc, shooting with a second-best of 35.2% to Storm’s 33.8%. Storm are better in assists made (21.7 to 21.2), while Mercury are better in rebounding (36.6 to 34.7) and both squads are almost equal in turnovers (11.7 to 12). Mercury have the momentum after that huge game three win and expect them to win once again tonight one way or another.

Seattle Storm vs Phoenix Mercury Game 4 Prediction: Phoenix Mercury -2.5 (-109)
